- Description
The piece
The Gluggle Jug Factory makes its fish-shaped jugs by hand in Stoke-on-Trent, the home of English pottery. The design dates back to the 1870s, and each jug passes through six pairs of hands before it is fired at 1200°C. Pour, and the fish's open mouth makes the gentle glug it is named for. Denim is a deep, easy blue that suits casual and formal tables alike.
In use
The XL holds 1.2 litres: fill it with water for the table and listen to it glug as you pour. It also makes a sculptural vase. The Mini holds 40mL, enough for cream or dressing, and makes a small gift on its own.
