The Gluggle Jug Factory makes its fish-shaped jugs by hand in Stoke-on-Trent, the home of English pottery. The design dates back to the 1870s. Each jug passes through six pairs of hands before it is fired at 1200°C, and the fish's open mouth makes the gentle glug it is named for as you pour.
