- Description
The piece
The Gluggle Jug Factory makes its fish-shaped jugs by hand in Stoke-on-Trent, the home of English pottery. The design dates back to the 1870s, and each jug passes through six pairs of hands before it is fired at 1200°C. Pour, and the fish's open mouth makes the gentle glug it is named for. Copper is the most dramatic finish in the range, a metallic glaze made for the centre of the table.
In use
Fill it with water for the table and listen to it glug as you pour. Left empty, it is a sculptural vase or a piece to display on an open shelf.
