What it is
Rustichella d'Abruzzo has made pasta in Penne, Abruzzo, since 1924. It is extruded through bronze dies for a rough surface that holds sauce, then dried slowly at low temperature. Fettuccine are long, flat ribbons, made for butter, cream and ragù sauces.
