Description
The wine
Sisters Anne and Catherine Parent run this Pommard estate, which dates back to the 17th century. Their Bourgogne Côte d'Or is Pinot Noir from limestone and clay parcels around Pommard and Ladoix-Serrigny, sites with more depth than a typical Bourgogne Rouge. The grapes are fully destemmed and the wine spends 12 months in barrel, with no new oak.
Tasting notes
Bright cherry and cranberry with a touch of earth and spice. Light-bodied but refined, with fine tannins and a fresh, savoury finish.
How to enjoy
Serve at 14–16°C. Pair with Mons Langres AOP, Saint Nectaire AOP or Marcel Petite Comté AOP 24 months.
