What it is
Bonilla a la Vista began in 1932 as a churrería in Ferrol, where Salvador Bonilla fried potatoes in paper cones alongside the churros. The family still makes them in Galicia, now in Arteixo near A Coruña, with three ingredients: carefully chosen potatoes, olive oil and salt. They are thin, golden and properly crunchy, with a clean taste of potato and good oil. The tins have become something of a collector's piece.
How to enjoy
Tip them into a bowl with Perello Gordal olives and Guindilla Piparra for a Spanish-style aperitivo. Add a tin of Olasagasti anchovies and a glass of Casa Mariol Vermut Negro.
