Deep, sweet and tangy, a two-year Gouda with caramel, cocoa and coffee notes and crunchy crystals.
The cheese
This Gouda is made by CONO Cheesemakers, a farmers' cooperative founded in 1901 in the Beemster Polder, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in North Holland. The young wheels go to Betty Koster's cellars at L'Amuse near Amsterdam, where they are matured for about two years, warmer and more humid than usual.
Tasting notes
The slow, warm ageing builds crunchy crystals while keeping the paste moist and buttery. The flavour is deep, sweet and tangy, with toasted notes of caramel, cocoa, coffee and spice.
How to enjoy
Serve it in shards on a board, or with a square of dark chocolate. Pair it with a Cabernet Sauvignon or a Negroni.

How will my order arrive?
Temperature-sensitive orders are packed with insulation and ice packs to help them arrive in great condition. Couriers are instructed to leave parcels in a safe place where possible. If re-delivery is required, a re-delivery fee may apply.
