Description

In 2024, Nic continued to build on that spirit with a 67/33 split of seasoned French barrique and amphorae.

Chenin Blanc Dynamic Blend. While this wine began as a blend, it’s been 100% Chenin Blanc for several years now. The name lives on—not for what’s in the bottle, but for the dynamic vineyard it comes from: one of the few truly biodynamic sites in Margaret River.

The fruit was hand picked and showed varied levels of ripeness across the vineyard. It was chilled overnight, hand sorted, and lightly cold pressed as whole bunches. After natural settling, it underwent wild fermentation in mature French barriques (67%) and clay amphorae (33%). No malolactic. Fortnightly bâtonnage. 11 months on lees. Bottled unfined and lightly filtered. Vegan friendly.

About the winemaker

L.A.S. Vino is the personal project of winemaker Nic van Lieshout — a quietly influential figure in Western Australia’s modern wine scene. With a background that spans both the creative and technical sides of winemaking, Nic has become known for a thoughtful, minimal-intervention approach and a strong sense of place: letting site, season and variety do the talking.He works with carefully farmed fruit (often from older vines and distinctive WA sites), keeps things gentle in the cellar, and prioritises balance over polish. The label has a cult following not because it shouts, but because it’s consistent: precise choices, a clear aesthetic, and wines that feel contemporary without chasing trends.
