Description
A Gewürztraminer from the Zahner family, who have made wine in Truttikon, in the north of Canton Zürich, since 1963. Niklaus Zahner, the second generation, runs the 9-hectare estate.
From the Langenmooser vineyard. The vines have been fed only with organic sheep manure since 1972. Fermented in stainless steel.
Lychee, rose petal and grapefruit on the nose. Powerful yet surprisingly dry, with ripe fruit and a long finish.
Pairs well with washed-rind cheeses such as Munster, aromatic Asian dishes or pâté. Serve chilled.
