Description
The wine
Domaine Larue was founded in Saint-Aubin in 1946 and is now run by Didier and Denis Larue, with Bruno joining recently. Le Trézin sits at the top of the slope in Puligny-Montrachet, above the premiers crus Champ Gain and La Garenne. It is the coolest site they farm and always the last picked. The family's 1.27 hectares hold vines averaging 60 years, on chalky soils strewn with small white stones. The wine is fermented in barrel (20% new) and aged for 18 months before bottling.
Tasting notes
Taut and precise when young, with citrus and white-stone minerality. It broadens with air and will reward a few years in the cellar.
How to enjoy
Serve at 10–12°C and decant if drinking now. Pair with Beaufort d'Alpage AOP, Marcel Petite Comté AOP 24 months or Brillat-Savarin IGP.
