Domaine Guy Bocard Bourgogne Cote d’Or Blanc 2023

Domaine Guy Bocard is a historic white-wine estate in the heart of Meursault, tracing its roots to Charles Bocard in the 1920s, even before the creation of the Meursault appellation in 1937. At that time, he began bottling and marketing the wines. The estate was then handed down from father to son, until Guy Bocard took over for almost 50 years, from 1976 until the end of 2020. He built the present Rue de Mazeray winery and acquired new plots, further affirming the style and positioning of the estate.

In 2018, the Derichebourg family, passionate about terroir and vine growing, fulfilled their dream of acquiring this property. As soon as they took over they launched the conversion to organic viticulture with the support of Guy Bocard, who would oversee production until his retirement. The Domaine is now fully certified Organic from the 2022 vintage. The domaine now owns 5.6 hectares, exclusively white. Predominantly Chardonnay plus a little Aligoté, from village to 1er Cru sites including Charmes and Genevrières.
