Description
A Petite Arvine from Adrian and Diego Mathier of Nouveau Salquenen, a family estate in Salgesch, in Switzerland's Valais. Petite Arvine is an ancient native Valais grape, notoriously sensitive in the vineyard. This is from the estate's Les Pyramides range.
Grown on the region's flaky clay-slate soils, which bring minerality and fruit. Aged in stainless steel.
Grapefruit and stewed rhubarb, with a ripe acidity and the variety's signature salty finish.
Pairs well with hard alpine cheeses and goat's cheese, shellfish, or baked fish with lemon and thyme. Serve at 8–10°C.
750ml · Valais AOC, Switzerland · 13.5% alc.
