Boutinot "Les Coteaux" Cotes du Rhone 2023

Boutinot had been making wine from the Rhone Valley since the early 1980’s from across the region but really put some roots down when they were able to purchase some stunning vineyards some up to 50 years old in the AOP of Cairanne and establish a permanent winery on site.

Eric Monnin heads up Boutinot’s winemaking team in the Rhône and I’ve always found him both articulate and extremely charming, a great host whenever we visit plus a very accomplished winemaker in his own right. His experience includes vintages at the Champagne House Louis Roederer, and later in Burgundy where he worked for Bouchard Père et Fils in Beaune and William Fèvre in Chablis.
