Description
The spirit
Archie Rose's Harvest Series, started in 2019, puts one local or native ingredient at the centre of each release. This edition is built around yuzu from growers near Mt Buffalo in Victoria. It is joined by emerald green finger lime, Valencia orange zest, Tahitian lime and juniper. Bottled at 40%.
Tasting notes
Fresh yuzu peel leads the nose, with ripe mandarin, Meyer lemon zest, makrut lime and grapefruit. Juniper adds pine, basil and thyme stalk. The palate brings ripe orange, lemon and mandarin peel with pine and black pepper, and the finish is long, with citrus set against juniper.
How to enjoy
Pour it over ice with tonic and a slice of orange, or with soda for something lighter. Serve with Maestros Lemon Stuffed Olives.
