Description

The vineyard is about 1.5 hectares in size, all cane pruned, hand-tended, sustainably farmed on classic Hunter red terracotta clay soil. Hand-picked, destemmed and whole-berry pressed to tank. The juice is cold settled overnight then racked for fermentation the following morning. No oak, no malolactic. Bottled after 8 months in tank after a light clarification.

About the winemaker

Andrew “Usher” Tinkler is one of the Hunter Valley’s most recognisable modern winemakers — equal parts serious craft and irreverent energy. He’s built his reputation on being hands-on in the vineyard and decisive in the cellar, with a clear point of view: make wines that feel alive, honest to place, and genuinely fun to drink.Usher’s approach is small-batch and detail-driven. He works closely with growers, keeps interventions low, and isn’t afraid to experiment when it serves the story in the glass. The result is a producer-led label where the personality behind the wines is front and centre: curious, confident, and a little bit rebellious — without ever losing technical precision.
