Vannella Marinated Persian Feta
Creamy, mild cow's milk feta marinated in olive oil and herbs.
The cheese
Vannella makes this Persian-style feta in Marrickville from cow's milk, then marinates it in olive oil with herbs. Cow's milk gives a creamier, less crumbly feta than the sheep's milk Greek style. Each jar weighs 300g.
Tasting notes
The texture is soft and creamy. The flavour is round and mild, with a gentle saltiness and an aromatic depth from the herbs.
How to enjoy
Spread it on flatbread, crumble it over roast beetroot, or put the jar on the table with olives. Use the oil for dressings. Pair it with a dry rosé or a Vermentino.
