Vannella Buffalo Mozzarella
Richer, whiter and deeper in flavour than cow's milk mozzarella, with a creamy centre.
The cheese
Vannella makes its buffalo mozzarella fresh in Marrickville from Australian buffalo milk, using the traditional pasta filata method of Campania. Buffalo milk is richer than cow's milk, giving a whiter, more yielding curd.
Tasting notes
The outside is smooth and firm, giving way to a softer, wetter centre that weeps gently when cut. The flavour is rich, lactic and faintly grassy.
How to enjoy
Let it come to room temperature, slice it thickly and serve it with ripe tomatoes, basil, olive oil and salt. It's also good torn over pizza at the last minute. Pair it with a Fiano or a Vermentino. Eat it within a few days of purchase.

Temperature-sensitive orders are packed with insulation and ice packs to help them arrive in great condition. Couriers are instructed to leave parcels in a safe place where possible. If re-delivery is required, a re-delivery fee may apply.
