The cheese
Beaufort d'Alpage is the summer version of Beaufort, made only from the raw milk of Tarine and Abondance cows grazing high Alpine pastures in Savoie. Small producers make it in mountain chalets, and each wheel takes around 300 litres of milk.
Tasting notes
The paste is pale gold, firm and smooth. The flavour is floral and fruity, with a sweet almond nuttiness that stays refined even with age.
How to enjoy
Serve it in generous slices on a board, or melt it into a fondue or gratin. Pair it with a Chardonnay, a Savoie-style Chasselas or a Côtes du Rhône Blanc. Take it out of the fridge 30 minutes before serving.

How will my order arrive?
Temperature-sensitive orders are packed with insulation and ice packs to help them arrive in great condition. Couriers are instructed to leave parcels in a safe place where possible. If re-delivery is required, a re-delivery fee may apply.
