The piece
Dutch maker Heinen Delfts Blauw has been making hand-painted Delftware since 1975. Its Majolica range is earthenware under a white tin glaze, painted freehand in Delft blue with loose, expressive brushstrokes, so each piece is slightly different.
In use
Use it for dinner every day, or set a table in blue and white with the cake plate, small bowl and jug. It also makes a generous plate for a wedge of Brie Fermier and pane croccante.
