The piece
David Mellor (1930–2009) was one of Britain's great post-war designers, best known for his cutlery. His son Corin Mellor now leads the company from its Round Building factory in Hathersage, in the Peak District. This porcelain set was designed to go with his children's cutlery, in the same red, yellow and blue.
In use
The plate has a deep rim to keep food on it, the bowl is a useful size and the mug is easy to grip. Add the children’s cutlery for a complete gift.
