Animale wines are made by Dave Mackintosh of Arfion.

This year, 76% of the Pinot Noir fruit was sourced from the Cahilton vineyard in the lower Yarra Valley Valley and 24% was from the Yarra Station vineyard, also in the lower Yarra Valley (a north-facing slope of ironstone rich, grey clay loams in the Yarra Glen sub-region).

Juicy cherries, strawberries and raspberries, with a lovely savoury finish. Joyous easy drinking style, great with a light chill.

Animale Pinot Noir 2022

Animale wines are made by Dave Mackintosh of Arfion.

After cutting his teeth at Oyster Bay, Dave settled in Victoria's Yarra Valley working with Steve Flamsteed at Giant Steps.

He has been crafting wines under this second label since 2019.  Fruit comes from the Upper and Lower parts of the Yarra Valley for this project, aiming to express the purity of the Yarra through thesevalue-driven small batch wines.
