Our Privacy Policy

We collect some personal information when you register with us at www.theartisancheeseroom.com.au, or leave your details. The information is used to enable us to process and deliver orders that you may place. By registering your details on our website, you agree to our recording, holding, maintaining and using personal data that you supply.

The information will also enable us to send you details of The Artisan Cheese Room offers that we believe may be of interest to you. However, we wish to reassure you that we never give, sell, or swap our list of customers, or details of those who register at www.theartisancheeseroom.com.au with anyone else, no matter how lovely they are. But, if you wish to have your details removed from our database, please call or email us, and we shall remove them.

Age Restrictions

Some of our products may only be suitable for adults (i.e. those aged 18 or over). By law we cannot sell knives or products containing alcohol to people under the age of 18, or to people buying on behalf of someone who is under that age.

In addition, should you be under 18, you may use this website only with the direct involvement of a parent or guardian.

All prices quoted are Australian Dollars. All stock subject to availability and increases in government charges and wholesale prices.

The Artisan Cheese Room supports the Responsible Service of Alcohol.

NSW

New South Wales Liquor Act 2007. It is against the law to sell or supply alcohol to, or to obtain alcohol on behalf of, a person under the age of 18 years.

Victoria

Victoria Liquor Control Reform Act 1998: It is an offence to supply alcohol to a person under the age of 18 years (Penalty exceeds $7,000), for a person under the age of 18 years to purchase or receive liquor (Penalty exceeds $600).

Under the Liquor Control Act 1988, it is an offence: to sell or supply liquor to a person under the age of 18 years on licensed or regulated premises; or for a person under the age of 18 years to purchase, or attempt to purchase, liquor on licensed or regulated premises.

South Australia

Liquor Licensing Act 1997, Section 113. Liquor must NOT be supplied to persons under 18.

Queensland

Under the Liquor Act 1992, it is an offence to supply liquor to a person under the age of 18 years.

Western Australia

Any use (including copying, reproduction, duplication, transmission and display of the content of this website), without the express written permission of The Artisan Cheese Room, for purposes other than the viewing of information or ordering goods, is strictly prohibited.

Permission is granted to copy electronically, and to print in hard copy, portions of this website only for placing an order with The Artisan Cheese Room, or for using this website as a shopping resource.

Cheese Hampers, Cheese & Wine Hampers, Gift Boxes and all other Perishable Food

Cheese hampers, cheese and wine hampers and gift boxes are collections of food and drink items packaged in packaging boxes. When cheese hampers, cheese boards and gift boxes contain perishable items with a short date before expiry, your statutory right to withdraw purchases within the 14 day 'cooling-off' period does not apply. Otherwise, your 14 day 'cooling-off' period begins from the date of delivery. This qualification also applies to any perishable food supplied by us with a short date before expiry.

The cheese hampers, cheese boards and gift boxes displayed on our website contain only the items listed. Any props used in the photographs are not included in the cheese hampers and cheese boards unless expressly stated otherwise.

Product Appearance and Description

We make every effort to display the appearance of our products as accurately as possible. This includes, but is not limited to, colours, dimensions, specifications, descriptions and packaging. We may from time to time alter the product specifications of items displayed on our website without prior notice. The packaging of our products may also vary from time to time, but this will not affect the contents.

Complaints procedure

Here at The Artisan Cheese Room we are very proud of our selection and it represents some of the greatest cheese and wines being made from all across the world. We are confident that when your order leaves us, it will be in prime condition.

If you are unhappy with the condition of any of your goods, for any reason, please let us know immediately by telephone on 0448 801 905 or by emailing info@theartisancheeseroom.com.au. Should you have an issue with the quality of any of our goods, we may ask you to provide photographic evidence.

If you do not let us know of a problem within 24 hours of having received an order, or if you dispose of any of our goods without having first obtained photographic evidence, we would not feel obliged to accept your claim.

Substitution Policy

The Artisan Cheese Room reserves the right to substitute an item with another item of equal or greater value than the original, or issue a refund for any products that are unavailable for whatever reason. This applies to items within all hampers. In these circumstances, we will make every effort to ensure that the style and quality of the substitution is as similar to the original item as possible.

We may also select a replacement item, if we believe it is in keeping with a particular theme of one of our selection boxes.

In instances where we believe we must make a substitution, we will make every effort to notify you of this ahead of time. Where this is not possible, we will enclose a note of explanation in your order.
