A beautifully made fortified Riesling from the master John Hughes at Rieslingfreak. Luscious and luxurious, but there's a lightness of touch here that makes this wine a pleasure to pair with almost any cheeses.

Made in a ‘white port’ style, the No.7 is dark yellow in colour wth flavours of sultanas, caramel, butterscotch and marmalade notes.

Description

Winemaker John Hughes’ wines show exquisite purity and elegance and are among the finest examples that South Australia has to offer. 

Grapes for the No.7 are sourced from the family property, White Hutt, Clare Valley and fortified using three year old brandy spirit, then stored in very old oak casks for maturation. The wine was bottled at three years of age, expressing many of the flavours and aromas of a good fortified Riesling. Made in a ‘white port’ style, the No.7 is dark yellow in colour wth flavours of sultanas, caramel, butterscotch and marmalade notes.
