We are celebrating the world's most incredible cycling race with a perfectly paired cheese and wine tour of the route (as near as we can get anyway!). Follow the cyclists as they pass through France's most iconic landscapes, whilst enjoying the cheeses and wines of the area.

The cheese and wine boxes are split into two parts to ensure freshness and will be accompanied by tasting notes.

Le Tour de France Cheese & Wine Box

We are celebrating the world's most incredible cycling race with a perfectly paired cheese and wine tour of the route (as near as we can get anyway!).  Follow the cyclists as they pass through France's most iconic landscapes, whilst enjoying the cheeses and wines of the area.

Domaine SC Guillard Gevrey Chambertin Vielles Vignes Corvées 2018
Burgundy, France
A sensational old vine Pinot from SC Guillard. 2018 in Burgundy was a year of rich and generous fruit and while this wine will age wonderfully, the depth of flavour makes it an enjoyable drop immediately. There is an elegant new oak character and delightful aromatics carried by the deep red and black fruits - think wild strawberry, black cherry, blackberry and plum. The palate is suitably concentrated with ample extract and structure that has layers of fruit and texture.  Very classy effort.  The finish is long and fragrant.

Chevassu-Fassenet Jura Chardonnay Sous Voile 2018
Jura, France
Made under a thin voile (veil) of yeast, this traditional method allows the wine greater exposure to oxygen. Careful winemaking ensures that despite the extended lees contact the aged wine is not overly oxidative or bready.  The palate is filled with rich orchard fruits all wrapped in the characteristic tannic tension of the wines from this famous region.  Golden yellow colour with warm notes of fino sherry, lightly toasted almonds, brioche and spice butter.
