Garamond is the coolest of the estate's three sites: 1.2 hectares of east-facing vines, sheltered from the westerly winds and always the last to be picked. It is named for the typographer Claude Garamond, whose typeface appears on every Hurley label.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePlanted in 1998 to the MV6 clone on volcanic red clay. Hand-picked parcel by parcel, destemmed, wild fermented and aged in French oak barrels.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRed cherry, rosehip and soft red fruits, with ironstone, autumn leaves, meat, mushroom and cake spice.
