Corymbia Chenin Blanc 2020.

2020 was a great vintage in WA. Warm, low yielding and with plenty of structure and power. That shows in the intensity of apricot, green apple skin, lanolin and cashews over the very long finish. Saline acid laces all of these characters together.

Lemon pith, nashi pear and fresh blackcurrants with a lick of flint. Mouth wateringly refreshing.

Corymbia Chenin Blanc 2020 gets a well deserved 95 points from Erin Larkin at Halliday. Not bad for only their third vintage of this varietal.

Corymbia Chenin Blanc 2020.

2020 was a great vintage in WA. Warm, low yielding and with plenty of structure and power. That shows in the intensity of white summer apricot, green apple skin, lanolin and crushed cashew that spools out over the very long, neat finish. Saline acid laces all of these characters together.  Lemon pith, nashi pear and fresh blackcurrants with a lick of flint.  Mouth wateringly refreshing.

Corymbia Chenin Blanc 2020 gets a well deserved 95 points from Erin Larkin at Halliday.  Not bad for only their third vintage of this varietal.

Rob Mann is a 6th-generation winemaker from the 2nd-oldest wine region in Australia. He was chief winemaker at Cape Mentelle in Margaret River, where he and wife Genevieve lived. Rob’s father had established a family vineyard in the Swan Valley more than 25 years ago, where they both worked together in Rob’s early years as a winemaker. Genevieve worked as a winemaker in her native South Africa, as well as France, California and South Australia before meeting Rob and moving to Margaret River in ’07 to be winemaker for Howard Park. They now have 3.5ha in Margaret River and the Swan Valley, planted to 1.6ha chenin blanc, 0.4ha tempranillo, 0.2ha malbec and 1.3ha cabernet sauvignon.
