The bouquet exudes fresh-picked raspberries which form the nucleus of the powerful and intense palate, with grainy tannins that underline the complexity of the wine.

About Yangarra

Peter Fraser has taken Yangarra Estate to another level altogether with his innovative winemaking and desire to explore all the possibilities of the Rhône Valley red and white styles.

Thus you will find grenache, shiraz, mourvèdre, cinsault, carignan, tempranillo and graciano planted, and picpoul noir, terret noir, muscardin and vaccarese around the corner.

The white varieties are roussanne and viognier, with grenache blanc, bourboulenc and picpoul blanc planned. Then you see ceramic eggs being used in parallel with conventional fermenters.

Peter was named Winemaker of the Year in the Wine Companion 2016.
